Tips for Summer Reading

Geisel Award

Mrs. Champlin\’s first visit to the library  Mrs. Connie Champlin was a member of the Geisel Award Committee and picked our school to come and share the books with.  Here is a slideshow I made from Mrs. Champlin’s first visit.  I used PhotoPeach which is a new favorite tool for slideshows.  I have made them of a retirement party and my niece’s baby Nora.  Photopeach is free and very easy to use.

I have been reading alot of new books for the library and these are some of the titles that I really liked.  Most are brand new but some are new to me!  I am looking forward to reading them to my students.

Weblists

On my blog I will also be sharing some Web 2.0 tools that are new to me and I will be using at my library at school.   Weblists is easy to use and you can keep author sites all in one place.

Glogs

Caldecott Glog
Newbery Glog
I like to use another cool Web 2.0 tool called a glog.  I made one for the Caldecott Award and one for the Newbery Award.
